Position: Technician (Fiber Optic Cat 5/Ct 6 Cabling)
Location: Colorado City

We are seeking a Data Center Field Installations Technician (L1) to support rack and stack deployments, structured cabling, equipment installations, and data center infrastructure build-outs. This is an entry-level, hands‑on role ideal for candidates with data center, telecom, or IT infrastructure experience who are looking to grow their technical careers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and prepare racks, including rail kits, PDUs, cable management, and labeling.
  • Perform rack and stack installations of servers, storage, and network equipment.
  • Install, route, dress, and label copper and fiber cabling according to standards.
  • Connect power cabling and support redundant A/B power feed configurations.
  • Assist with airflow optimization, blanking panel installation, and rack organization.
  • Support direct-to-chip liquid cooling and cooling infrastructure activities under supervision.
  • Follow rack layouts, diagrams, Method of Procedures (MOPs), and installation documentation.
  • Conduct quality checks and report installation discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas within the data center.
Required Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in a data center, telecom, cabling, or IT infrastructure environment.
  • Basic understanding of data center hardware, racks, PDUs, and cabling systems.
  • Experience with rack and stack, hardware installations, and structured cabling.
  • Familiarity with copper and fiber optic cabling practices.
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation, rack layouts, and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in confined rack spaces.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with fiber optic installations and testing.
  • Exposure to data center cooling systems and airflow management.
  • Familiarity with server, storage, and network hardware deployments.
  • Previous experience working in mission-critical or enterprise data center environments.
