Job DescriptionJOB TITLE:

PRIMARY
PURPOSE:
Facilitate the effective use of technology at the district level. Provide technical support in the use of hardware and software to multiple campuses. Perform onsite technical work to install and maintain computer equipment and software application throughout the district. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing computer hardware.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED;
Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications;
Knowledge of computer workstation setup;
Ability to analyze and resolve computer hardware and software problems. Knowledge of technologies available for use in instruction setting ;
Ability to diagnose and repair computer and technology equipment;
One year technical support experiences.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
- Provide technical assistance to district faculty and staff for use of equipment including computer hardware and software.
- Provide immediate on-site assistance to district staff with technology problems and questions.
- Assist in performing upgrades to software and hardware.
- Install and upgrade computers and peripherals through the district.
- Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.
- Install and configure software as needed.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of networking equipment.
- Route technology request to Technology Department employees/technicians.
- Diagnose and repair equipment.
- Maintain equipment records for maintenance and inventory.
