Tek One Solutions is hiring detail-oriented Front-Side Patching Production Technicians for a large-scale data center infrastructure project in Abernathy, Texas.
This role is focused specifically on accurate patching and cable management
. Candidates should have previous experience working with network equipment, patching, port maps, cut sheets, labels, or high-density data center cabling.
Attention to detail is particularly important for this position.
Responsibilities- Perform front-side patching of network infrastructure
- Follow assigned port maps and cut sheets
- Verify source and destination ports before connecting
- Verify cable IDs and labels
- Maintain proper patch sequence and polarity
- Dress and route patch cords neatly
- Identify labeling or port discrepancies before completing connections
- Escalate installation discrepancies when required
- Work at a fast production pace without sacrificing accuracy
- Support QC and correction activities
- Maintain clean and organized equipment areas
- Previous data center patching, network cabling, or structured cabling experience
- Familiarity with patch panels and equipment ports
- Experience reading cable labels, port maps, or cut sheets
- Understanding of organized cable-management practices
- Fiber patching experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow repetitive technical instructions accurately
- Comfortable working within strict production and quality requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Dependable attendance required
