The Role

We are looking for a Junior Underwriting Assistant to join our team in Westlake, CA ⛰️. The role requires working in the office from 8am to 5pm, contributing to our dynamic and supportive environment.

Lead Underwriter
, you'll be joining a friendly team of 5 who believe in providing high-quality support to our underwriting and sales departments to ensure seamless policy delivery.

What you'll do

As a Junior Underwriting Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Underwriting department by collecting external customer information, performing data entry, and helping with owner-operator account risk assessments, state filings, and policy binds.

  • Policy Execution: Complete insurance policy binds with accuracy in a timely manner to ensure coverage is active when needed.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for underwriters, customer service, and sales to track, manage, and prioritize insurance applications.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Process policy filings for state authorities and manage cancellations or reinstatements in accordance with state law.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain policy log verification with relevant information and manage loss run requests.

    Correspond internally with Sales team members via phone, email, and in person to collect necessary insurance forms.
