Overview

Creates and maintains a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly, and satisfying environment for team members.

Responsibilities

Cleanliness of Areas: Washes, cleans, and replaces equipment and furnishings as needed. Disposes of trash, waste, and other disposable materials. Damp-dusts furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc. Sweeps and wet-mops floors in bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, lobbies, dining areas, and other spaces. Cleans wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers. Makes beds, does laundry, and washes windows. Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.

Supplies Inventory: Ensures adequate cleaning supplies for daily assignments. Maintains all cleaning supplies and equipment. Secures cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc., out of reach of team members. Replenishes consumable supplies as needed.

Safety: Performs duties in accordance with company safety and security policies and procedures, including OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department guidelines.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training.
Language

Skills:

Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence; effective in small group communication.
Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with units of measurement and currency.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out instructions; handle problems involving concrete variables.
Computer

Skills:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, smartphones, and tablets.
Certificates: Valid driver's license.
Other

Skills:

Ability to work independently, with strong time management and organizational skills.
Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and occasionally sit. Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment: Frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, fumes, chemicals; occasionally to weather extremes, electrical shocks, vibration; moderate noise level.
