What To ExpectTesla is seeking a skilled Construction Pipefitter to join our dynamic Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) project team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on advancing energy sustainability. We are looking for candidates who bring passion for solving challenging problems, a commitment to teamwork, and a positive attitude towards hard work.
What You'll Do- Install new waste piping, water piping, compressed air piping, supports, racks, related panels, and devices
- Work with various piping types, including copper, stainless steel, PVC, cast iron, and carbon steel
- Use P&IDs, spool drawings, and shop drawings to plan work scopes, install improvements, and troubleshoot issues
- Perform a wide variety of job scopes from planning and execution to cleanup and material handling
- Display positive attitudes and practice good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company
- Complete tasks in a timely manner and provide feedback
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in pipe fitting/welding at journeyman level or higher in industrial or commercial settings
- Strong knowledge in installing and troubleshooting all types of plumbing systems
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, shop and spool drawings, specifications, shop/fabrication drawings, and UPC codes
- Ability to produce parts lists and work plans based on drawings or field observations and routing
- Ability to produce as-built drawings for work performed
- Ability to test and commission all work per Tesla procedures and building department codes
- Ability to complete job scopes outside of normal core competencies as required
