Assistant Critical Facilities Manager - Burlington, TX

As a CBRE Data Center Manager, you will manage the maintenance team responsible for providing critical preventative maintenance, engineering operations, and repair services to the building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function, focusing on technical maintenance services, uptime enforcement, and acting as the manager during absences.

As a CBRE Data Center Manager, you will manage the maintenance team responsible for providing critical preventative maintenance, engineering operations, and repair services to the building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function, focusing on technical maintenance services, uptime enforcement, and acting as the manager during absences.

• Provide formal supervision to the critical facility maintenance team. Monitor staff training and development, specifically regarding MEP infrastructure safety and Method of Procedure protocols. Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and oversee recruitment and hiring.
• Coordinate the maintenance team's daily activities. Establish shift coverage schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff on electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Set and track department deadlines.
• Act as the manager during absences to ensure seamless facility operations, maintain leadership continuity, and handle escalated infrastructure issues.
• Manage the relationship with the client while working with other stakeholders to meet all MSA requirements and ensure MEP work orders are completed within strict SLA time frames to prevent downtime.
• Resolve unforeseen critical infrastructure circumstances, acting as the incident commander during facility emergencies and executing corporate escalation pathways to inform senior management.
• Check daily routine cleanup of the plant rooms and data halls, confirming all critical systems are operated to applicable internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.
• Ensure all infrastructure records, asset tracking systems, emergency operating procedures, and standard operating procedures are kept up to date.
• Prepare high-risk Method Statements, Methods of Procedure, and Risk Assessments for maintenance on live, energized critical systems, and present them to management for approval.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant MEP experience in a critical environment like data centers, hospital central plants, or heavy industrial facilities. In lieu of a degree, a combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered.
• Experience in technical staffing, training, development, coaching, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance.
• Ability to exchange complicated information and handle high-stress technical problems or system failures clearly under pressure.
• Leadership skills to motivate the maintenance team's impact on quality, efficiency, safety, and effectiveness of the critical facilities discipline.
• High familiarity with Building Management Systems, Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Extensive organizational skills with an unyielding focus on safety protocols like NFPA 70E and LOTO.
