This is a full-time, on-site position for a QHSE Manager (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental) based in Rhome, TX. The role oversees all QHSE programs for the company's SPT and Coatings operations across the U.S. and Canada. It is essential for maintaining compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards, OSHA, environmental, transportation, and trade regulations, while actively promoting sustainable operational growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the North America QHSE system, including quality, safety, and environmental governance.
- Lead, maintain, and improve AS9100 and ISO 9001 QMS programs.
- Oversee QMS transformation initiatives to simplify, digitize, and standardize documentation.
- Ensure audit readiness and lead internal and external audits.
- Ensure timely closure of non-conformances, customer complaints, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
- Oversee OSHA safety programs, incident investigation, and employee training.
- Manage environmental regulatory compliance, including reporting and waste disposal programs.
- Ensure compliance with HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods transportation and ITAR/export regulations.
- Own and manage emergency preparedness and response programs.
- Develop and track QHSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Act as the point of escalation for significant customer quality issues, field failures, or recalls.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Quality, Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in QHSE or Quality leadership within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Solid experience in manufacturing quality control and evidence-based decision making.
- Demonstrated experience with internal/external audits, CAPA systems, non-conformity management, lean management, document control, and compliance programs.
- Experience managing AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 QMS systems.
- Strong leadership, project management, and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in Chemical, Automotive, Electronics, Cosmetics, Plastic, Aerospace, or Defense industries.
- Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification (AS9100 / ISO 9001).
- Demonstrated experience with Digital QMS platforms, OSHA/environmental regulatory compliance, HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG, TDG), and ITAR/export compliance.
- Strong root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving capability (8D, RCA, FMEA, etc.).
- Ability to simplify processes and remove non-value-added activity.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety requirements and programs.
- Effective communication and coaching skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage audits and certification processes.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 10%).
