Location: Barstow
Role Overview
As an Electrical Project Supervisor, you will take charge of leading, managing, and supervising electrical projects in the commercial and industrial sectors. Your role will be critical in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire teams of electricians to successfully complete projects on time and within budget while maintaining safety standards. You will oversee a team of 20+ employees, establish performance goals, and motivate crews to exceed expectations.
- Manage crews that include apprentices, journey persons, crew leaders, and lead persons. Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities to align with project objectives.
- Plan and coordinate project work, ensuring timely scheduling of materials, tools, and equipment to meet the project scope, budget, and timeline. Oversee on-site construction projects, trade contractors, and field personnel for successful project completion.
- Ensure Quality Assurance and Client Satisfaction by reviewing project documents, plans, and specifications for compliance. Resolve construction issues, coordinate field installations, and oversee project close-outs while fostering positive relationships with customers to guarantee satisfaction.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, manage project costs, timelines, and quality standards effectively.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for assigned personnel as required.
- Report directly to the Field Supervisor, General Superintendent, or Project Manager and collaborate with other field personnel and support staff, such as Estimating, Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources.
- Engage with owners, architects, engineers, trade contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders involved in project activities to ensure project progress.
- Maintain all necessary licensing and training requirements to fulfill job duties.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Education:
High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience. - Experience:
Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program, with four or more years of field supervision/management experience. - Specialized
Skills:
Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and proficiency in technology and computer systems.
