Centro Med is a 501(c)(3) non‑profit community health organization located in San Antonio and New Braunfels.
Job SummaryFull‑time Fitness Supervisor responsible for overseeing the fitness center and Encino Ballroom operations, programming, and client experience. Works with the Director of Fitness to develop and implement strategies that align with the organization’s mission to improve health and wellness for all populations.
Work HoursMonday, Tuesday & Friday 8 am–5 pm;
Wednesday & Thursday 12 pm–8 pm.
- Ensure excellent customer service for both inside and outside customers.
- Understand and promote Centro Med, Centro Fitness, and Encino Ballroom mission and programs.
- Advocate for Centro Med and its programs, participating in and promoting all events.
- Drive integration and cross‑promotion of health and wellness programs across the organization and community.
- Mentor supervised staff and support their professional growth.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve program participation and financial outcomes.
- Monitor competitor programs, services, and sales activities.
- Coordinate with Director of Fitness on training, monitoring, and compliance with procedures.
- Execute company policies for the control of cash, property, products, and equipment.
- Oversee daily operations of the fitness center and ballroom.
- Assist with monthly billing, collections, and administrative duties.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure product availability.
- Maintain safe working conditions and take corrective action when needed.
- Assist with ballroom tours, client agreements, set‑up, and break‑down.
- Handle telephone and membership inquiries as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- One year of supervisory experience; fitness industry experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service and sales experience.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Highly motivated and energetic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions and lift 20 lbs.
- Must meet attendance requirements.
