Position: SVP, Head of Client Compensation
Location: Charlotte

The SVP, Head of Client Compensation is a strategic people leader responsible for driving operational excellence, advisor compensation transformation, and technology-enabled process improvements. Reporting to the EVP of Operations, this role oversees key teams including Client Compensation, Advisory Operations, Performance & Data Reconciliation, and Client Technology Management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead transformation initiatives focused on process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee advisor compensation operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
  • Manage service delivery across multiple channels and offshore partners, meeting SLAs and enhancing client experience.
  • Drive organizational change management, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement programs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Compliance on compensation policies and audits.
  • Manage budgets, resource planning, and performance reporting using data-driven insights.
  • Represent Operations in firm-wide initiatives, regulatory engagements, and vendor negotiations.
  • Develop and retain top talent across geographically dispersed teams.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years in financial services with deep expertise in advisor compensation, broker-dealer operations, and wealth management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven success in transformation leadership, change management, and employee engagement.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar methodologies.
  • Expertise in compensation structures and regulatory compliance.
Pay Range

$ – $. Actual base salary varies based on factors including but not limited to relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
