District Shift Leader

Job Overview

Bruegger’s Bagels invites you to join our team as a District Shift Leader—a role designed to develop future General Managers by providing comprehensive training in store operations, leadership, and business strategy.

• Perform management duties at a home location and support other bakeries as needed.
• Lead by example, act as a brand ambassador, and provide ongoing coaching and training for the teams.
• Ensure high-quality food and beverages, maintain a safe, clean store environment, and manage daily operations.
• Travel to other locations to learn from additional leaders and gain independence.
• Manage inventory tracking, vendor orders, cash management, scheduling, and recruiting as part of the GM development plan.
• Participate in P&L analysis and work toward food cost and labor targets.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work varied hours/days, including early hours (starting as early as 3am) and weekends.
• Must pass a background check and possess a current, valid driver’s license.
• Must complete the Bagel Brands Serv Safe Certification program by the end of the GM development plan.

• Expected to fill in for General Managers at other locations within the market.
• Expected to accept a permanent General Manager promotion within the market when available; specific location is not guaranteed.
