Description:

* ** Cuero Regional Hospital
** is searching for a
** FT Director
** for our
** Information Technology Department.**  + The Director of Information Services will be directly responsible for all technicians that are employed by the Information Services Department in Cuero Regional Hospital.  + The Director will also be responsible for all computer and telecommunications equipment owned by Cuero Regional Hospital and off site subsidiaries related to Meditech and Meditech access.  + Since the director has this direct responsibility, he/she will have to be knowledgeable in all areas of Information Services.

This will include but not be limited to main frames, personal computers, printers, modems, local area networks, wide area networks, and programming in the various languages utilized at the hospital.  + Also, other areas the Director will be required to know: telephone systems, data communications systems, telecommunications circuits (such as: local voice services, data circuits, and high capacity digital services), and the related equipment needed to operate and maintain such systems.  

+ Since this facility is open twenty-four hours, seven days a week, it will be necessary for the Director to handle any emergency situations that may come up within the department at various times.  + He/she will oversee the running of the department, which will include but not be limited to the budget, staffing, counseling of employees, all record keeping, equipment updates, ordering of supplies, maintenance of equipment, contracts that will involve the Information Services Department, hiring and termination of employees, and perform problem solving of various types.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent required  + Must have at least 5 years experience in the computer and telecommunications field  + Communication skills  + Computer skills.  + Must be able to multi-task.### Closing:
