Grinder Operator (FLSA Status: Hourly, Department: Operations)
SummaryGrinder Operator sets up and operates the Grinder machine including assembly and disassembly of the equipment used in the production of the company's product. Responsible for measuring and checking raw materials, feeding materials for processing, and adjusting settings. Operators must follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Be on the workstation ready to work and on time.
- Maintain good attendance and be flexible to working overtime and weekends as required.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work area in compliance with GMP and safety policies.
- Set up and program Grinder equipment (including component identification).
- Unload product from combo or boxes and debagging product.
- Use debagging utensils (knife or safety blade) properly.
- Weigh product and use the floor scale (verify scale for accuracy daily).
- Load product into the Grinder hopper according to customer specifications.
- Accurately identify all raw materials used in the grinding process.
- Read and interpret work instructions.
- Check for foreign objects (e.g., pieces of glove, metal, wood, etc.).
- Report equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Disassemble equipment at the end of the day.
- Follow safety procedures (LOTO).
- Prepare machine for sanitation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school education or up to one month related experience or training.
Physical DemandsStand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Weight lifting: up to 10 pounds, up to 25 pounds, up to 50 pounds, up to 100 pounds. Work environment: cold temperatures (
