Operations Technician Level 1
Operations Technician Level 1 is an entry level role focused on learning and supporting manufacturing operations in a structured, safety-driven environment. This position works under close supervision while developing technical skills, process understanding, and disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities- Tasks may include but are not limited to solid rocket motor manufacturing processes including tooling/assembly/disassembly, case surface prep, machining, and final assembly
- Maintaining cleanliness of work area and facilities, and other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Independently execute manufacturing operations in compliance with AS9100, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and scheduling of their teams.
- Champion safety culture and ensure strict adherence to explosive safety protocols.
Skills and Abilities
- High School diploma or GED
- Demonstrates reliability, procedural compliance, and willingness to learn
- Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
- Must possess a valid states driver's license
- Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Skills and Abilities
- 0-2 years of manufacturing, operations, or technical experience
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with others at all levels of the organization
- Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist, push and pull up to 50 lb, etc) while wearing protective equipment (respirator, coveralls, gloves, eye and ear protection, etc).
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
