Job Details
General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery and manage daily documentation using Tyson SAP software. Work includes scheduling and performing preventative maintenance routines, confirming time in the SAP system, and creating equipment history records.
Responsibilities- Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance routines.
- Record daily activities and create equipment history in the Tyson SAP system.
- Manage daily documentation and confirm time logged in SAP.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets.
- Adhere to safety and company policies and procedures.
- Minimum 6 months of industrial maintenance and/or general maintenance experience; preferably with welding, electrical, and hydraulics.
- Knowledge of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and related maintenance areas.
- Ability to learn Tyson SAP software and use it for work orders, documentation, preventative maintenance, and time confirmation.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in basic math for work‑related computations (e.g., fluid capacities).
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs; climb stairs and ladders; work in temperatures ranging from
-10 to 80°F; work in wet, slippery, and noisy environments; work 8-12 hours on your feet. - Willingness to complete required training and meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must satisfy a 180‑day waiting period from last termination date and a 3‑X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before).
