Utility Operator - 1st and 2nd Shift - North Richland Hills, TX

Tyson Foods is a leading producer of food products located near Fort Worth, TX. Our facility produces pepperoni and other pizza toppings. We create quality products in a safe environment for team members and offer great benefits and competitive pay.

• Assist in line start-up, remove trash, and relieve when necessary.
• Support line set-up prior to start-up and stock line with packaging materials such as bags, boxes, strapping, tape, clips, etc.
• Fill in for line workers as necessary, pack and palletize cases of cooked food products, and label boxes as needed.
• Notify supervisor or operations specialist if machinery is not operating properly.
• Keep work area clean and observe Tyson/USDA safety and sanitation rules.
• Utilize proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to self and others.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Operate pallet jack and perform other duties as required or assigned.
• Monitor and control key product control points such as weight, size, temperature, etc.

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Perform routine repetitive tasks.
• Read weights and scales.
• Have sufficient mathematical ability to perform calculations, plot data and make statistically based decisions.
• Willing to become certified to operate a pallet jack.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends if needed.
• Have 6 months of work history with the same employer.
• Have 6 months of machine operator experience.
• Candidates who previously worked for Tyson have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

• Vertically move products weighing 5 lbs. constantly, 20 lbs. occasionally.
• Exert forces of 10 lbs.
• Exert grip forces of 17 lbs. frequently.
• Frequently lift 50 to 75 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.
• Walk up to 4 miles during the shift and work in extremes of temperature.
