Industrial Welder- 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking an Industrial Welder for the 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate is $22.71per hour plus a $1.20shift differential per hour. This information is a general guideline only; actual pay will depend on skills, experience and market considerations.

• Set up, understand, and proficiently operate all welding equipment.
• Troubleshoot various machine problems.
• Identify and tag shop orders with the product; retrieve or enter data into the system.
• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.
• Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
• Weld components based on print specifications.
• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

Basic (Required)

• Minimum of one (1) year of TIG and MIG welding experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position; only candidates currently residing within the immediate geographic area of Sherman, TX will be considered (Active Duty Military Service members are exempt).
• Eaton will not consider applicants for immigration sponsorship or support for this position.

Preferred

• AWS Weld Certification.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of TIG/MIG welding experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience using blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and simple measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills.

• Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.
• Working knowledge of weld operations, including TIG, MIG of stainless steel and/or aluminum.
• Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally to frequently (33‑66%) and up to 75lbs occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
• Ability to stand for eight hours or more and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and maintain close attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team responsible for assembling an entire product or component.
• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as required by the business.
• Requires PPE: safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high‑noise areas).
• Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, and sparks.
