Position Title:

Heat Treatment & Processing Facility - Hourly Positions Position

Purpose:

Demonstrates knowledge of operational processes. Performs required work safely and uniformly within operation guidelines & standards but does not necessarily have proven proficiency in specific skillset within department.

Summary of Responsibilities and Competencies Safety Participation :
Understand and follow the Safety Program, safety rules and protocols, of the facility and specific to work areas. Measures ovality & other processing issues

Marks pipe for rework when applicable

Generally assists operators

Machine Operator Operates machinery in booth with precision

Ensures accuracy of equipment’s temperature readings

Troubleshoots to correct general issues

Lead Heat Treat Operator Performs the role of the Assistant & Operator Additionally directs the work of other Assistants & Operators to perform heat treatment processes efficiently and effectively.

Heat Treat Foreman Directly supervises / manages Assistants, Operators, and Leads and ensures their productivity and accuracy meets expectations.

As needed, can and does perform the role of these positions.

Drift Operator Drift pipe to measure ovality and other weld issues.

Dope and cap pipe.

Bucking Machine Operator Sets up and operates machinery to apply couplings to threaded pipe efficiently and effectively.

Interprets and applies specs to ensure compliance with production order.

Adjusts machine and troubleshoots general malfunctions as needed.

Performs routine maintenance and inspection on machinery to ensure proper functionality.

Machine Operator Thread pipe as directed and according to specifications of order.

Saw Operator Cut pipe as directed and according to specifications of order.

Lead Machine Operator Performs the role of the Operators.

Troubleshoots general issues with equipment.

Additionally directs the work of other Operators to perform threading processes efficiently and effectively.

Thread Shop Foreman Directly supervises / manages Operators and Leads and ensures their productivity and accuracy meets expectations.

Troubleshoots general issues with equipment.

As needed, can and does perform the role of these positions.

Lead Yard Operator Performs the role of the Bundler & Forklift Driver.

Additionally directs the work of other Bundlers and Forklift Operators to perform the logistical movements and tracking / tallying necessary for accuracy and optimized loading/unloading.

Forklift Operator Operates large lifts and moves pipe accurately and safely throughout the yard.
