U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance is required.
What You Will Do- Assemble and repair a variety of electronic units using prescribed repair techniques.
- Solder electronic components with industry-standard techniques and tools.
- Remove and replace components with accuracy.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, part lists, and work instructions.
- Support production, rework, and repair of various product lines including electronics box assemblies, RF electronics, high‑power distribution assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, cable/harness assemblies, electronics rack‑mount systems, circuit card assemblies, test sets, and other similar‑complexity assemblies.
- Measure, mix, and apply chemicals according to safety and operational guidelines.
- Communicate work status to team members and support staff, ensuring seamless workflow.
- Document work clearly and concisely and maintain accurate records.
- Utilize computer skills and office software applications.
- Work closely with Engineering, Test Technicians, and Quality Assurance Inspection personnel on unit repairs and production.
- Maintain control of all electro‑static sensitive (ESD) precautions and processes while working on product.
- May occasionally need to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to support customer goals.
- Work on products of various weights and sizes.
- Wear ESD static‑control devices and personal protective equipment to minimize safety risk.
- Perform hand‑based tasks such as soldering, dis‑assembly, assembly, and fine manipulation; stand for extended periods without seating; lift up to 25 pounds; transport product with or without carts.
- Enhance assembly and soldering techniques.
- Gain insights into reading and interpreting complex technical data and engineering prints.
- Learn best practices in chemical handling and workplace safety.
- Develop effective communication and teamwork skills within a collaborative environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Experience with electronic assembly, including soldering, rework, and cable assembly/rework.
- Current or previously held certification for IPC‑JSTD‑001 (solder) and/or IPC WHMA‑A‑620 (cable harness).
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
