DutiesFill Equipment – monitors equipment and controls of Fill and Material Handling System; regulates inputs (air dryer, compressor, chemical flow, vacuum pressure, etc.) and makes appropriate adjustments; inspects set‑up and ensures proper valves are open; checks chemical temperature for correct gassing levels; records inspection results per First Article or Work Instructions; performs preventive maintenance; changes reclaimed chemical totes; reworks rejected units;
maintains documentation such as CILs, PMs, LOTO, and ODS.
Pre‑Test Equipment – manually loads and unloads units; performs material‑handling duties as required; operates robot HMI interface; ensures tube length meets print standard; manually inserts head assembly and engages threads; monitors auto torqueing station and verifies torque per Work Instructions; adjusts torque clamp hydraulic level; monitors torque “Gaping” station; operates robot gassing station and changes quills; monitors gas mixture equipment and changes gas cylinders;
inserts ring pins; assembles safety tie; verifies safety seal pull force; restocks parts; reworks rejected units; maintains required documentation.
Mass Spectrometer – monitors and controls the mass spectrometer; handles rejected shells; calibrates as needed; monitors and maintains oil levels; monitors labeler equipment; maintains tools; changes equipment for various models; records inspection results.
Packaging System – monitors packaging machine, labeler, palletizing machine, and stretch wrap machine; manually places literature and hanger hook; performs preventive maintenance; adjusts glue lines; changes equipment for various models; records inspection results; handles material‑handling duties; resets light curtains on palletizer and packaging machine; maintains documentation.
Other Duties – performed as assigned by the Senior Operator, Supervisor, or Department Manager.
Training ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all training and documentation for Final Assembly and for training peers within the organization; supports training and development; may flex schedules to accommodate training requirements.
Environmental, Health, and Safety Obligations- Comply with safety rules.
- Attend and participate in safety training.
- Participate actively in the safety process.
- Ask questions if something is unknown.
- Report all accidents and injuries immediately.
- Submit suggestions to improve safety.
- Know responsibilities in case of emergency (fire, chemical spills, tornadoes, etc.) and assist in evacuation.
- Be a coach to others performing unsafely.
- Maintain lock‑out tags after 2 months.
- Attend hazardous and non‑hazardous waste trainings.
- Recognize chemical hazardous labels.
- Manage spill cleanup.
- Know air shut‑off locations.
- Follow satellite accumulation rules.
- Recognize and manage hazardous wastes properly.
- Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Willing to learn team skills and work in a team environment.
- Daily routine requires being on feet nearly 100% of the time, walking, standing, stooping, or bending.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull to remove extinguishers along the line and pack extinguishers; average to heavy weight involved.
- Must read, write, and understand simple math and work from blueprints.
- Must have job certification as Machine OperatorII for the Sentry Auto Line.
