Machine Operator Lead – GEODynamics in Millsap, TX

• Sets up and operates numerically controlled equipment to perform machining operations, such as turning, boring, facing and threading parts.
• Addresses operational issues to ensure machine efficiencies and production levels are achieved.
• Performs various quality checks and assists in the preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Maintains an accurate inventory through activities such as proper reporting of material usage, minimizing waste, and ensuring that measuring devices are properly calibrated.
• Accurately completes all paperwork and/or data entry to support job tasks.
• Ensures good housekeeping of all work areas.
• Practices safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations.
• Follows all plant policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost objectives are met.

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing or machining environment.
• Some experience as a team lead supervising in machine shop operations, preferred.
• Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role: bending, lifting, stooping, pushing, pulling and standing more than 50% of the time.
• Hands/wrist/shoulder and gripping.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Over 50 pounds requires team lift.

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
• Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes, and gases.
• Walking surfaces: outdoor areas, ramps and rough/uneven terrain.
