The Wash Plant Support Associates is responsible for supporting both the mine and wash areas within the Kermit Sand Plant.

• Within the mine area, the associate is primarily responsible for the McCloskey and conveyor system prior to the Wash Plant including, but not limited to the following tasks and responsibilities:
  • Workplace examinations/inspections:
    • Walk all areas and inspect for hazards in all areas worked
  • Housekeeping:
    • Main person for daily clean up
    • Shoveling around hopper and under conveyor system
    • Removing debris from conveyor
  • Monitoring and operating:
    • Hopper system
    • Zipline conveyor
    • Jumper conveyor
    • Stacker conveyor
  • General operator level maintenance on system and assist maintenance with tasks including:
    • Tracking belts
    • Greasing equipment
    • Changing rollers
    • Other maintenance tasks a needed
  • Work with Mine/Wash Team on troubleshooting equipment failure or process flows:
    • Check on/troubleshoot equipment failures
    • Assist with any process flow problems
  • Assist with fueling and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) for Mobile Hopper
• Within the wash area, associate is responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
  • Workplace examinations/inspections of all the Wash Plant areas and identify hazards including:
    • Flock containers
    • Screens
    • Conveyors
    • Tunnels
  • Housekeeping:
    • Main person for daily clean up
    • Wash floors
    • Keep rollers clean
    • Shovel under conveyors
    • Wash screens of organics
    • Maintenance of tunnels
    • Operation of equipment for clean up
  • General operator level maintenance on system and assist maintenance with tasks including:
    • Tracking of conveyor belts
    • Grease equipment
    • Preventative maintenance
  • Work with Control Room Operator on troubleshooting equipment failure or process flows:
    • Check on/troubleshoot equipment failures
    • Assist with any process flow problems
  • Fuel up and change diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) for Mobile Hopper and Azfab
  • Collecting samples
  • Patch leaks
• Operation of skid steers and water truck for clean up
• Operation of telehandler for changing out totes
• Operation of material handler for moving flock pallets
• Assist Lab Technician in testing product as needed
• Input on projects
• Communication with all other Production Team members
• Workplace examinations
• Identify hazards and work safely
• Review and update work instructions as needed
• Ability to cross-train and additional responsibilities may include:
  • Equipment Operator
  • Wash Control Room Operator
  • Other areas within the mine

• Experience working physical labor and in a manufacturing/industrial setting
• Experience working in industrial setting around and with heavy equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Strong safety record and experience with LOTO and SDS procedures
• Basic math and reading skills
• Basic computer skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good troubleshooting, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge in conveyor systems
• Experience in inventory control, equipment operation, housekeeping, and quality testing a plus
• Familiarity with or aptitude to learn PLC systems

The Wash Plant Support Associate will be focused on ground/system support, troubleshooting and ensuring a safe, clean and efficient working environment/equipment within both the mine and wash areas. This associate will be responsible for work examinations/inspections, identifying hazards, housekeeping, troubleshooting equipment failure/process flows, collecting samples, patch leaks as necessary and assist with general operator level maintenance duties. Associate will cross-train into other areas/positions including Equipment Operator and help with other responsibilities as needed.
