Machine Operator II, 2nd shift

Role Overview

SS Machine Operator II reports to the Stainless Steel (SS) Team Lead or Production Supervisor. The shift is 3:30p.m. to 2a.m., Monday–Thursday, with overtime as needed. Hourly pay ranges from $23.90 to $26.21.

• Perform hydro testing, mass spectrometry, buffer, and label operations.
• Operate robot/pendant for startup and shutdown of automated equipment.
• Clean, troubleshoot, fill, gass, weld, polish, label, package, and assemble valve cylinders.
• Maintain required records: serial number logs, production counts, and scrap records.
• Conduct quality checks, including first‑piece inspections and weld visual inspections.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and preventive upkeep, notifying maintenance personnel of any issues.
• Communicate WIP needs and parts shortages to the Team Lead, senior operator, or forklift driver in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining scorecards, Gemba boards, and other performance metrics.
• Support training and development of peers and cross‑train in other department areas as needed.
• Enter labor hours and quantities into SAP.
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety obligations, including safety training, incident reporting, and hazardous material procedures.

• Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing, and simple math skills.
• Willingness to learn how to read blueprints.
• Team‑player attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs (team lift: up to 50lbs).
