About The Role

The Wastewater Technician II is a mid‑level position within the Industrial Wastewater operations role includes conducting industrial wastewater treatment on all water streams utilizing technologies and chemicals independently, with expertise in petroleum recovery operations. Responsibilities include waste stream sampling, tanker transfers, QA/QC, bench testing, treat code assignments, batch wastewater treatment, and basic petroleum recovery operations. The role is mechanically inclined to liquids management and troubleshooting for transfer operations, and cross‑trained to conduct sludge press operations, tank wash, and non‑bulk operations.
Responsibilities- Perform basic chemical analysis such as pH, flash point, FOG, solids, PCB, Halogen, ICP‑MS, and ammonia.
- Operate equipment including pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, yard dog, high vac trucks, wheel loaders, excavators, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and OSHA.
- Sample tanker trucks and containers.
- Use hoses to unload tanker trucks.
- Perform waste stream QA/QC and laboratory analysis.
- Operate oil line and wastewater treatment line.
- Submit all associated paperwork for regulatory and safety record‑keeping.
- High School Diploma / GED required.
- 1–2 years of experience.
- Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass respirator fit test.
- 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
- First aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Confined space entry certification (can be obtained post‑hire).
- Experience in Net Suite.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Walk, stand, sit, and climb.
- Lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Work from heights and in confined spaces.
- Qualify to wear a full‑face respirator.

The pay range for the primary location (Nashville, TN) is $47,000.00 – $62,500.00 USD. The final salary will be determined based on experience, education, location, skills, travel requirements, and union contracts if applicable. Pay ranges are reviewed periodically and may be modified.
