Position Purpose
The Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Worker is responsible for reviewing shipping tickets and ensuring the correct items are shipped out to customers, reviewing incoming packing lists and ensuring items included on the packing lists are received, and assisting with other warehouse activities as needed.
Responsibilities- Working hours are general 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., but may be adjusted as needed to meet production needs
- Assist in loading and unloading packages onto or from delivery trucks.
- Receive goods and ensure that they correlate to the accompanying delivery documents.
- Prepare orders to be shipped out, delivered or picked up according to the schedule. Preparation includes packaging, wrapping, labeling, loading, and assembling proper paperwork.
- Check drains for defects, such as cracks or pin holes in welds.
- Receive work orders from supervisor and assist order pickers in locating items in storage.
- Receive and process warehouse stock products, including picking, unloading, labeling and storing.
- Maintain inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Grind items for sandblasting as needed.
- Willingness to cross‑train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
- Communicate with management for assignments and to resolve discrepancies or quality issues.
- Responsible for keeping work area clean and orderly and optimizing space utilization.
- Suggest and implement improvements.
- Completes all required safety procedures before and during operations.

Qualifications- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way.
- Ability to read a tape measure and caliper.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
- Ability to read and understand blue prints and other shop drawing aids.
- Demonstrated competency in basic shop math, including fraction to decimal conversion skills.
- Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
- Safety conscious behavior.
