Amrize a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, is seeking a Laborer to provide essential manual support in keeping the plant clean, safe, and operational while heavily assisting during plant moves. This position is located in Hubbard, TX.
Handles the distinct cleaning demands of both systems - including the physical chipping / washing of central mixer drums (wet) and aggregate collection hoppers (dry). Performs heavy manual labor during plant mobilization/demobilization and strictly adheres to LOTO and fall-protection rules. Acts as the backbone of daily plant housekeeping and preventative maintenance. Prevents material contamination by thoroughly cleaning aggregate charging bins, weigh hoppers, and conveyors between mix changes.
Assist QC Technicians with cylinder handling. Keeps the plant clean to prevent build-up that can cause premature mechanical wear, and helping to avoid costly parts replacements. Accurately fills out and signs daily safety tailgates, individual Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) logs, and Confined Space Entry permits prior to entering silos or mixer drums for maintenance. Maintains polite and professional behavior when encountering clients or third-party inspectors on the plant layout.
Uses tools, greases, and consumables efficiently. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Education:
High School diploma/GED. Please note that equivalent years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Required
Work Experience:
1 year general laborer experience
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors. Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, a good sense of balance, and an ability to work as a member of a team. Valid driver's license. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
