Production Associate - 3rd shift

Overview

Participates in the production of items at an Ilitch bakery. The Associate will be trained to operate various stations along the production line.

• Performs general inspections and refills ingredients and/or packaging supplies as directed.
• Follows correct safety, operation, quality and sanitation procedures for equipment at workstation.
• Ensures quality control principles in area of responsibility, including proper assembly, storage, tracking, and handling of materials.
• Monitors product quality standards and reports any defects to line lead or supervisor.
• Describes problems as they arise and seeks guidance when necessary.
• Meets operational throughput standards and minimum product quality requirements.
• Maintains tools, equipment and work area in a clean, sanitary condition.
• Adheres to safety, food safety and other regulatory requirements and practices, focusing on continuous improvement.
• Meets set goals and objectives relevant to the work area.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Demonstrates proper production techniques for each product at each workstation.
• Follows company rules and directions.
• Communicates in English or uses a translator.
• Works together as a team, treats everyone with dignity and respect, and keeps open communication.
• Displays reliable attendance and punctuality.

Fast‑paced manufacturing environment, potential exposure to temperature variations (hot and cold). Requires the ability to lift, push or pull objects of medium to heavy weight (up to 50 pounds).
