Manager, Production Scheduling (starship)

Responsibilities- Lead a team of Production Schedulers to successfully ensure that Work Centers in SpaceX have a prioritized list of Work Orders to execute.
- Lead roll‑out of Factory Scheduler and supporting business processes where appropriate in the business.
- Drive the development of the business process, tools and knowledge to support Production Scheduling.
- Partner with the Production and Supply Chain management teams to ensure achievement of the schedule.
- Escalate effectively and appropriately where schedule achievement is threatened.
- Support business development to assure future capability to achieve the forward schedule requirements. For example, lead a project to create more capacity in a Work Center.
- Set up key metrics and promote continuous improvement.
- Report an effective and actionable status each week to PC Director and VP of Production.
- B.S. in Aerospace, Business, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Scheduling or similar discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong record of achievement.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading a medium to large team in a demanding and complex organization.
- Purchasing/APICS certification.
- 5 years ERP/MRP Planning/Purchasing/Production Scheduling experience.
- Prior Supervisor/Management experience.
- Analytical and written skills.
- Skills to influence others.
- Ability to design processes and improve them.
- Cross-functional leadership knowledge.
- Flexible approach to working hours as business demands change dynamically.
- Ability to travel as needed.
