Regular Night Fitter

Job Location:

Beaumont, TX 77705 – Full‑time position in Manufacturing. High School/GED required. The role requires safety‑minded, highly productive experts to cut, fit, and tack weld all parts of heat exchangers, vessels, and towers.

• Wear proper PPE at all times on the shop floor and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure specifications and dimensions are met.
• Fit and assemble metal components of shell & tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and/or towers.
• Perform thermal cutting using an oxy‑fuel cutting torch and/or a Plas‑Arc machine.
• Perform tack welding.
• Maintain less than a 5% fit‑up rejection rate.
• Complete assigned work within the given time frame and according to specifications.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned, which may include basic tasks when such a need arises.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Highly safety‑oriented individual.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience fitting pressure vessels or heat exchangers.
• Extensive knowledge of fitting metal components to set standards and codes in the assembly and manufacturing of various types of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of thermal cutting and welding processes.
• Ability to read AutoCAD prints for specifications and dimensions.
• Proficient operation of oxy‑fuel cutting torch and Plas‑Arc machine.
• Ability to tack weld per code and within weld procedure requirements.
• Above average math skills and understanding of geometry.
• Self‑motivated leadership with minimal supervision required.
• Team player who works well with others to achieve company goals.
• Punctual and dependable with willingness to work non‑standard hours when required.
• Consistently maintain less than a 5% fit‑up rejection rate.

• Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a shop environment in all seasons.
• Must safely enter and work in confined spaces of an exchanger or vessel.
• Must safely tie off and work from elevated heights on top of exchanger or vessel.
• Position exposed to welding fumes, gases, and grinder dust; use of PPE imperative.
• Work area not climate controlled; may experience extreme heat/cold.
