Key responsibilities
Fit and weld sheet metal using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) techniques.
Prepare joints, execute production welds, and perform finishing operations.
Inspect work against drawings and quality criteria; produce consistent results.
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints to plan sequence and set-ups.
Keep a tidy, safe work area and follow all shop protocols.
Adhere to written procedures and take direction effectively.
Required experience and skills5–7 years of hands-on welding experience.
GMAW range: 18ga through 1/2 mild steel.
GTAW range: 0.030 through 1/2 aluminum and stainless steel.
Comprehensive knowledge of weld fit-up practices.
Competent with calipers, tape measure, and quality control tools/equipment.
Detail-focused, punctual, strong team contributor, and self-starter.
Excellent communication; able to discuss technical requirements with clients.
