As a Wash Operator, you'll play an important role in supporting safe, efficient, and reliable wash plant operations. You'll operate and monitor the wash system, manage product flow, perform quality testing, operate heavy equipment, and assist with maintenance and troubleshooting. This position offers hands‑on work, variety, and opportunities to improve plant performance while helping ensure finished product meets quality standards.
What You'll Do- Operate and monitor the wash system to support production, efficiency, and uptime goals.
- Monitor product infeed and outfeed and make operational adjustments to maintain consistent plant performance.
- Perform product specification and quality control testing to ensure finished product meets established standards.
- Operate heavy equipment to safely and efficiently feed material into the wash system.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process flow issues.
- Assist with basic to intermediate maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.
- Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
- Communicate with team members to support safe and efficient operations.
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to assist with maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and reliable operation.
- Heavy equipment operating experience.
- Basic maintenance or mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, mining, agriculture, or industrial environments.
- Experience with quality testing or process monitoring.
Ability to work in a mining and processing environment with exposure to dust, noise, varying temperatures, and outdoor conditions. Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, climb stairs and ladders, work at elevated heights, operate equipment, and regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must successfully pass required testing and be medically cleared to wear respiratory protection.
