Robotic Paint Operator

As a Paint Robot Technician, you will oversee the functionality and performance of automated spray systems designed for applying polyurea coatings. Your primary focus involves managing ABB IRB 5500 robotic units and Graco Reactor proportioning hardware to ensure that manufacturing output remains safe, uniform, and highly productive.

• Manage the complete operational lifecycle of robotic spray booth systems from startup to shutdown.
• Ensure continuous robot performance by actively overseeing ABB IRB 5500 units and addressing any system errors or operational halts.
• Maintain optimal output by tracking Graco Reactor metrics, such as flow rates, material ratios, pressure levels, and thermal settings.
• Execute authorized program selections and minor process tweaks to ensure production runs smoothly.
• Verify that finished components meet all quality standards regarding appearance, coating thickness, and surface coverage.
• Support ongoing operations by replenishing materials and conducting essential cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain equipment hygiene by sanitizing spray nozzles, hoses, filters, and booth hardware.
• Keep detailed logs of production volume, material consumption, maintenance actions, and any identified defects.
• Promote a secure workplace by strictly adhering to protocols for high-pressure systems, chemical handling, ventilation, and PPE usage.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to help drive process enhancements and resolve technical challenges.

• Demonstrated technical or mechanical capability with a focus on resolving issues in automated systems.
• Background in plural-component spray technology, industrial painting, or robotic operations is highly desirable.
• Capacity to interpret technical instructions, uphold safety standards, and keep precise documentation.
• Comfortable working with polyurea substances while utilizing necessary protective gear.
• Physical capability to remain standing for long shifts and handle weights up to 50 pounds.

• Monday through Friday schedule with weekends off.
