* SUMMARY:

** The Social Media Strategist and Content Creator, under general supervision, advances the awareness, visibility, engagement, and public voice of East Texas A&M University through strategic social media planning, content creation, and day-to-day management of the university’s primary social media channels. This position is responsible for managing the main @etamu social accounts; planning, creating, and publishing content; supporting real-time and event-based storytelling;

monitoring engagement and brand mentions; and recommending adjustments based on platform performance and audience response. Working in coordination with the Director of Website Applications Development & Administration Webmaster, this position helps align social media activity with university priorities related to student life, enrollment, engagement, and brand promotion, while also providing guidance and day-to-day direction to student workers and campus contributors involved in content creation and social media management.
