The Manager, Foundation Advancement, in collaboration with the Director of Donor Relations, implements strategies to expand donor engagement, stewardship, and philanthropic partnerships and supports logistics on Foundation events. This position manages and assists with evaluation of programs that strengthen relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations to increase giving and sustain long‑term support for Lone Star College initiatives.
Essential Job Functions- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
- Basic understanding of development, fundraising principles, and customer relationship management.
- Highly organized, self‑starter, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet urgent deadlines, and cope with competing demands simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite, database and document production, and web research.
- Understanding and adherence to the Association of Fundraising Professional's Donor Bill of Rights.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
- Professional maturity, positive attitude, persistence and resourcefulness, with the ability to quickly build rapport within internal and external stakeholders.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. There may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, or small parts, or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
