Bi-Vocational Pastor
New Cherry Grove Baptist Church
Gist, TX
New Cherry Grove Baptist Church (NCGBC) is a Southern Baptist Church located in a small, rural community of Southeast Texas and is close to other small communities including Buna and Mauriceville.
The members of NCGBC are passionate about maintaining a Christ-centered environment to foster community and spiritual growth within our community of believers. We are a small congregation with an average attendance of approximately 50 people. We are blessed to include members of varied ages from young children to the elderly. We are also blessed to have several young families. Most of all, we are a close-knit congregation, and are excited to welcome our next pastor and his family into our fold;
putting God first, his family second, and the church third. Lastly, our church has an outreach ministry, 5K Ministries, where we provide spiritual counseling as well as groceries to whomever seeks assistance from our surrounding communities.
We are seeking a pastor who:
- Meets the qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
- Adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
- Is an Expositor
- Is prepared to commit a portion of their time to Pastoral Care and work with the deacons to assist where needed
- Holds the minimum of a High School Diploma
- Can lead worship (preferred but not required)
