Position: Nurse Practitioner / Family Practice Locum Tenens / Locum - NP General Medicine

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments (SHA) for veterans in the Houston area. This is a non-treatment role that offers significant scheduling flexibility on a PRN basis, allowing you to make a meaningful impact without prescribing or ongoing case management. Schedule & Flexibility:
Basis: PRN, ongoing availability required.

Hours:

Weekdays only (no on-call or weekend shifts).

Shifts:

Option for Half Days (4 hours) or Full Days (8 hours).

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive, non-treatment assessments (C&P Exams and SHAs) for veterans. Perform detailed interviews and physical assessments, focusing on necessary testing like range of motion and muscle strength. Complete all required evaluation documentation accurately in the provider portal.

Qualifications:

Current Certification:
Certification from AANP (American Association of Nurse Practitioners). Clinical Background:
Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine.

Experience:

Prior experience with Compensation and Pension (C&P) evaluations is a strong plus. Detail-Oriented:

Required:

Candidates must hold or be eligible for an Active Texas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) License. (
