Licensed Vocational Nurse – LVN - Part Time Availability - Days

Our local office is looking for a team of compassionate nurses to provide care for a very special client/patient. Details of this case can be discussed by applying or contacting the local office.

Schedule:

Mondays and Tuesdays – Days – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Qualifications
  • Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state where the clinician will practice
  • Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
  • Current CPR certification (with hands-on component) – Aveanna can assist in obtaining after hire if necessary
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Must have reliable transportation

Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physicians orders for each patient while adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times.

Essential Job Functions
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs; report changes to supervisor/physician
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner
  • Participate, implement and update the nursing care plan
  • Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and intervene to prevent or reduce risk
  • Comply with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act
  • Provide care utilizing infection control measures per OSHA standards
  • Educate patient and family regarding disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies
  • Maintain knowledge of nursing competencies through education and skill evaluations
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as an LPN/LVN in the practicing state
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments and documentation
Additional State Specific Requirements
  • South Carolina – One year of pediatrics experience
  • California – One year of experience required working under current nursing license
  • Louisiana – One year of experience required working as a licensed nurse
  • Continuing Education as required by state
Preferences
  • Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
  • Home health experience
