• Responsible for responding immediately to residents’ requests.
• Supervise nursing care services and staff on all units while on duty.
• Actively promotes facility safety programs.
• May assume responsibility as the Infection Preventionist Nurse.
• Assume responsibility for nursing services in the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing Services and/or Director of Nursing Services.

Nursing Supervisor (RN) duties:

The Night Shift Supervisor (RN) will assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for nursing care rendered at facility during evening shifts; supervision of nursing personnel of each unit; and other corollary duties assigned by the Director Nursing Services. The RN Supervisor is schedule minimally 37.5 hours a week which is one shift during the week and every other weekend.

Every other holiday. This position is full time on our night shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)

• Possession of a state license in the applicable state you are performing work and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience and at least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role.
• At least one year of experience as a Unit Manager, or Charge Nurse preferably in geriatric nursing required.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Ability to supervise and discipline staff and ensure that high standards of care are maintained as necessary.
• Ability to utilize creative problem-solving and handle problems diplomatically necessary.
• Experience with dementia population desirable.
