Qualifications &
Experience:
- Current and valid RN license
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in an emergency department
- Demonstrated knowledge of emergency protocols and procedures
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required;
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred - Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on department needs
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions
- Accurately assess patient status and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate individualized treatment plans
- Safely administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform interventions per physician orders
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and family members during high-stress situations
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times
