Hourly Pay Range
$36.00 – $55.80 hourly; determined by expertise and experience.
Position DetailsRegistered Nurse – Emergency Department, Night Shift at Elmhurst Main Hospital.
Full‑time, 36 hours per week. Nights 7:00 pm–7:00 am, every third weekend and rotating holidays.
Requirements- Education:
Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if the highest degree is ADN, must graduate a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of the position start date. - Experience:
1+ years in an emergency department unit. - License and Certification:
Current State of Illinois registered nurse licensure; current CPR certification issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date;
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date;
Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date.
Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking; assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records observations. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
