Days, evenings, and weekends. Clinic hours:
Monday–Friday 8:00AM–8:30PM, Saturday 8:30AM–12:30PM. Shift options include 12‑hour, 8‑hour, and 4‑hour shifts, variable based on clinic needs.

Cincinnati Children’s Pediatric Primary Care Clinics are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct clinical care and telephone triage as part of a family‑centered care team. The role includes preventive care, acute illness management, care coordination, and patient education. After successful orientation and six months of clinic experience, nurses may expand into nurse triage and the Lead Nurse role.

Our pediatric primary care clinics provide comprehensive health services for children from infancy through adolescence. Services include same‑day care, well‑child visits, vaccinations and immunizations, school and sports physicals, care and treatment of minor injuries, hearing and vision screenings, preventive health services, chronic disease management, care coordination, and family support.

• Compliance & Safety – Maintain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; support department leadership in compliance efforts; monitor safety and departmental policies; ensure all certifications and Safety College requirements are met; communicate safety and compliance concerns to leadership.
• Interprofessional Practice – Demonstrate integration of the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) across all practice areas; conduct clinical inquiry and performance reviews; use evidence‑based guidelines; engage in peer and student learning; contribute to shared governance and improvement initiatives.
• Patient Care – Apply age‑specific and culturally inclusive care principles; use shared decision‑making with interdisciplinary teams; perform clinical judgment using protocols; document care plans and outcomes; provide patient and family education with teach‑back; advocate for patients and families and uphold ethical standards.
• Care Coordination – Facilitate patient and family learning and self‑management support; develop care goals; coordinate follow‑up; liaise with community resources; manage telephone triage as needed.

• Associate or Diploma RN from an ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA accredited institution, with 2+ years of experience in a pediatric acute care setting.
• If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete it within 5 years.
• Active Ohio Registered Nurse license (additional state licensure may be required).
• Minimum one year of pediatric acute care nursing experience.
• Excellent communication and assessment skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced outpatient setting.
• Preferred:
  Pediatric primary care experience, ambulatory care experience, telephone triage experience, and care coordination experience.

Primary location: MOB – 3430 Burnet. Part‑time shift day; 0.5 FTE; 20 weekly hours;
General Pediatrics department;
