Job SummaryThis role serves as a nursing leader within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The leader delegates, directs, and supports licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes and demonstrating professional responsibility.
Education- Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Required:
None.
- Required:
Current RN license in state of practice. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred:
Certification in clinical specialty area.

- Uses the nursing process in patient care.
- Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

- Promotes customer satisfaction and employee morale and improves nursing practice.
- Adapts behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and tailoring communication.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Exert 50–100 pounds occasionally, 25–50 pounds frequently, or 10–20 pounds constantly to move objects. Must be able to work in patient care areas and may be exposed to blood, body fluid, tissue, and hazardous medications.
