Immediate Supervisor: Clinical Nurse Manager
The clinical registered nurse acts as a liaison between the patient and the physician. They are also expected to assist the physician and perform any medical task asked of them.
Minimum Qualifications- Cooperative work attitude toward employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians
- Ability to make logical decisions and solve problems
- Ability to perform any nursing duty asked
- Have extensive knowledge of nursing techniques
- Communicate clearly and proficiently
- Pass security check
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Active RN license within the state of South Carolina
- CPR certification
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and hospital personnel
- Documents completely and accurately
- Interacts with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner
- Conducts themselves as a positive role model and team member
- Respects patient’s rights to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
- Discuss with patients their lab/x-ray results and provide necessary instructions under the direction of their physician
- Review charts daily for next-day appointments for completion
- Schedule procedures, tests, & appointments as instructed by the physician and documented
- Document patient phone calls and prescription refills
- Perform capsule endoscopy
- Perform duties of a medical assistant in their absence
- Ensure recalls are kept current
- Verify pathology reports are received from hospitals for all inpatient and outpatient procedures
