Gonzales Healthcare Systems has an immediate opening for the position of Labor & Delivery RN. We offer competitive salary and benefits including a sign‑on bonus. As an associate of Gonzales Healthcare Systems, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. The RN will:
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP credentialed from the American Heart Association; ACLS, PALS, and NRP to be obtained within 6 months of the date of hire or transfer;
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within one year of orientation completion. - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Annual Breastfeeding education.
- OB Certification preferred. STABLE preferred.
Gonzales Healthcare Systems, located in Gonzales, Texas, has an immediate opening for the position of Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse. Our facility is a 33‑bed general hospital providing in‑patient acute care to the residents of Gonzales County. The hospital offers a wide range of services including obstetrics, in‑patient and outpatient therapy services, diagnostic imaging including CT, MRI and Digital Mammography, full‑service laboratory, general and orthopedic surgery, and has a Level IV Trauma Designation.
In addition to the hospital, Gonzales Healthcare Systems also operates three rural health clinics, a home health agency and a full‑service fitness center.
