Position Overview

Licensed Practical Nurses will provide direct or indirect nursing services in Adult Inpatient departments. The role includes assessing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients, as well as administering medications and treatments prescribed by authorized prescribers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical nursing duties such as taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and administering medications.
  • Execute other technical nursing tasks required for patient care.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of direct‑care staff on the unit.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • LPN I:
    Valid permanent Oklahoma license.
  • LPN II:
    Oklahoma license and one year of practical nursing experience.
  • LPN III:
    Oklahoma license and three years of practical nursing experience.
Special Requirements
  • Must pass a physical examination and meet lifting and pulling requirements (up to 50 lbs., 25 lbs. force).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license if the position requires job‑related travel.
Compensation

Base salary ranges from $50,500 for LPN I to $60,000 for LPN III. Shift differentials are available for evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. On‑call pay is $1.00 per hour.

About the Agency

The Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center provides community‑based mental health and substance abuse treatment, including inpatient and outpatient services for adolescents, co‑occurring disorders, seniors, women, men, and criminal justice populations.
