PRN LPN​/LVN - Corrections, Groesbeck

Seeking dedicated and experienced Travel LPNs to join our dynamic team.

As a Correctional LPN, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a Correctional Center/Facility located in Groesbeck, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare.

• Schedule:
  
  13‑Week Contract - 7P‑7A & 7A‑7p
• Starting Pay: $38 an hour with per diem

• LPN license in Texas or "Compact" Multi-License
• 1+ year of recent nursing experience preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

• Apply appropriate nursing skills and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Attend sick calls with the physician, prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined, and prepare examining room and equipment.
• Examine and assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries, or inmates/residents who become ill or injured, and refer to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facilities as required.
• Monitor, as directed, inmate/resident inpatient hospitalizations for early releases when appropriate.
• Operate pill calls, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures.
• Regularly evaluate the provision of medical services to prevent inappropriate use or duplication of those services.
• Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify Licensed Independent Providers for treatment orders.
• Provide guidance, supervise, and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff.
