- 5 Days a Week, 8 hour shifts. Shifts are 7am-3pm, 11am-7pm, 9am-5pm and may rotate weekly.

About Us:
Position Summary:
Join our growing team! We are looking for an outdoors enthusiast to manage and operate all outdoor activities at our Freestone Lake and Golf community. The Outdoor Pursuit Summer Intern will collaborate with a team of associates to fulfill waterfront and facility needs, will assist our member services team in providing exceptional experiences to members and prospective members, and will enforce guidelines for both water and land activities.
The Outdoor Pursuits Summer Intern reports to the Director of Outdoor Pursuits and Lake.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18+ years of age
- Drivers License
- Boater license
- Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (or able to complete during onboarding).
- Camp Safe or an OAG SATP-approved Certification (or able to complete during onboarding).
- Excellent hospitality, sociability, communication, and service skills. Extremely personable with members and employees.
- Experience bass fishing and a knowledge of varying strategies and techniques.
- Preferred experience with towing trailers and backing/launching boats in the water.
- Preferred experience in the outdoor recreation industry with an emphasis in water sports.
- Preferred experience with guns (shotguns, rifles, and handguns) involving target shooting, clay and skeet shooting, and waterfowl hunting.
- Preferred experience with archery equipment (compound bows, trad bows, and crossbows) involving 3D target shooting.
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally lift objects up to 100lbs.
- Run, jump, and participate in organized sports.
- Ability to climb in and out of boats.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain facility appearance and operable conditions at all times.
- Lead classes and activities for wake surfing, wakeboarding, tubing and other water sports, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, traditional organized sports, hiking, and camping.
- Collaborate with associates, member services, and other departments to create exceptional member experience.
- Comply with and enforce local, state, and federal safety requirements for outdoor activity programs.
