- Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose health issues in animals across various species, including dogs and cats.
- Perform medical procedures such as vaccinations, wound care, dental cleanings, and minor surgeries with precision and care.
- Utilize veterinary terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions to pet owners.
- Assist in animal restraint and handling techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures.
- Apply aseptic techniques during surgeries and invasive procedures to prevent infections and promote optimal recovery.
- Manage laboratory tests, analyze results, and interpret data to inform clinical decisions effectively.
- Support animal husbandry practices including feeding, grooming, and maintaining proper animal physiology and anatomy knowledge for health assessments.
- Handle emergency cases requiring veterinary critical care experience with confidence and professionalism.
- Maintain detailed medical records while adhering to all safety protocols, including animal catheterization and laboratory procedures.
- Collaborate with team members on complex cases involving animal physiology or specialized treatments such as equine care or pet grooming.
- Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in animal handling, restraint, and husbandry techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices.
- Skilled in performing animal catheterization, aseptic techniques, and laboratory diagnostics.
- Experience working with diverse species including dogs, cats, horses (equine experience preferred), ensuring safe pet care practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners about medical conditions and treatment options using clear veterinary language.
- Strong animal husbandry skills combined with proficiency in pet grooming and basic pet care routines.
- Capable of managing high-pressure situations with calmness and efficiency during emergency or critical cases.
