Location: Dalhart
JBS Foods - - Responsibilities:
Learn and develop individual skills based on work requirements in the employees designated work area;
Work in a cohesive team environment to provide essential care to the animals; 100% supervision for the first 30 days of employment followed by determination of Animal Care Technician 2 at 90 days;
Perform basic sow/gilt handling including feeding, watering, and moving;
Operate machinery and equipment; assist with farrowing and breeding (artificial insemination);
Handle and use chemicals; vaccinate and medicate sows and piglets;
Clean facilities including afterbirth, dead pigs, and scraping;
Use computer equipment including hand held devices and electronic wands;
Load and unload pigs as scheduled; maintain farm cleanliness;
Adhere to biosecurity standards including showering in and out of facilities
